KANUNAY ANDAM!

Preparedness is the best way to battle a disaster. No one can really tell when and where a disaster happens. In barangay Camul, a 3-day training headed by the MDRRMO was conducted where different knowledge and skills in first aid and basic life support were taught to the future life-savers of the community.

From January 20 - 22, 2020, the citizens were instructed of different techniques and methods - from choking, snake bites, bee sting first aid to responses to vehicular accident and mass accidents victims. Every person showed their enthusiasm in learning new skills of bandaging, transporting and splinting. The barangay tanods in particular were on the front lines as they are the first responders in the community if needed. Not just men were present but also women from the health sector, our BHW's and the common citizens of Camul. Barangay officials, headed by Hon. Pelagio Trinidad were also present.

Aside from the knowledge and skills shared by the different speakers from MDRRMO, the participants were also expected to perform return demonstrations on first aid and BLS cementing what they've gathered during the training.
