 ORIGIN OF THE NAME, CAMUL

Camul was the forest situated at the foot of Mount Gampoy. Along each river, there were subanen settlers. Prominent among them was a man named Camul, who was known of his good deeds and virtues of charity, helpful and prudency in ideas. His relatives living in distant places used to visit him for advices and asked help for life sustenance. When asked where they are heading for and where did they come from while they were on their way, their customary answer is: They will go to Camul, and they come from Camul.
