The month of July is this year's national disaster resilience month which was formerly called national disaster awareness month. the change highlights the shift from disaster awareness to disaster resilience. disaster resilience pertains to the nation's ability to adapt to and recover from hazards, shocks or stresses without compromising long-term prospects for development. in line with this the NDRRMC and OCD organized a funrun in the municipality of Ipil to launch this year’s activities. the group were invited to participate and left their beds, and barangay camul, early morning of the first of July. we also got to meet up with our former mentor, Dr. Filoteo as he was also participating in the event. it was a fun run and two of the group even finished in the first fifty and were given medals as prize.
