Anti-Smoking Ordinance Campaign during Barangay Camul’s General Assembly
An Anti-Smoking Ordinance Campaign was shared by the PNP representative PO1 Jasen Malazarte last January 26, 2019. She emphasized on the different penalties when caught smoking or vaping. Some key points of the new ordinance were shared to the public also for the benefit of the smokers and non-smokers, as well as our environment.
It has been known that Smoking as well as Alcohol consumption has been considered as risk factors of Hypertension including other diseases. If the patients changed their ways and cut off from their vices, then we can focus on dealing with other factors that may cause Hypertension.
The residents of Barangay Camul were quite worried about the New Ordinance, but are very willing to cooperate for the benefit of everyone. However, the New Ordinance has been on hold for the mean time due to some amendments but was already approved last year. Moreover, if this ordinance will already be launched, there will be designated places for smoking and signages will be posted in the different parts of the Municipality. There will also be a Team of Police who will be monitoring the barangays later on and violators will be penalized.
